Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1996. She is an actress, famous for Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022).

Asia Argento began her career as an actress in Rome. She is part of a family that also includes a number of film makers. She made her debut when she was just nine years old old in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she had the leading role in the debut film of Cristina Comencini, Zoo, and was in the ensemble of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. In the year following her debut, she portrayed Nanni Moritti's daughter as a child in Red Wood Pigeon. Her professional career took off after she was cast as Nanni's little girl in Close Friends. Cannes International Film Festival received the film with great awe. Daria Nicolodi is Argento's most favorite actress and was portrayed as a teenage anorexic seeking to find her parents' murderer in Trauma. Asia's intense, absorbed performance style was used to great effect in the film Condannato a nozze. In 1993 she co-starred in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista in which she played Arianna, a physically disabled girl. It was a complex, challenging role that won her the David di Donatello award for the best actress. She was also a featured role in the international cast in the film Queen Margot directed by Patrice Chereau. In 1995, she was a co-star alongside Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration won her a David di Donatello award and the Grolla of Oro. In 1994, Asia turned her hand to directing and turned out two short films as part of the series of the movie De Generazione In 1996 she directed a documentary on her father. In 1998, another film on the cult director Abel Ferrara, AbelAsia which was awarded an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia began her career as a filmmaker in 1999, with Scarlet Diva. The film was also the main screenwriter and actress. The film debuted in May 2000 in Italy as well as around the world. It won an award at the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
